I am running for Executive Council

Today, I announce that I am running for New Hampshire’s District 2 Executive Council seat. I am running because the people of this District deserve an Executive Councilor with a proven track record of fighting for our shared values. In this race, the stakes have never been higher. Reproductive rights, workers’ rights, voting rights, and LGBTQ+ rights are all in jeopardy. Health care, education, the environment, and economic justice are on the ballot. As an experienced health care advocate and Democratic activist, I have been fighting for these values for decades.

As your Executive Councilor, I will stand up for Granite State families. I will safeguard Planned Parenthood funding, require qualified appointees to state agencies, and ensure judicial nominees have a proven record of upholding our constitutional rights.

I have spent my entire professional life working for the recognition of health care as a basic human right. As a health care professional and now a health care attorney at Shaheen & Gordon, I have seen the challenges many Granite Staters face in accessing quality, affordable health care, including mental health and substance use disorder treatment. The Executive Council serves a critical role in health care funding and I will work to expand access and lower costs for New Hampshire families.

As a grassroots activist, I started knocking on doors and making calls twenty years ago to elect Democratic candidates who advance our core values. As a town committee chair, county officer, and chair of the NH Democratic Party’s Platform Committee, I have a record of leading and working to help us win up and down the ballot.

I will fight for the people of District 2, and it would be my honor to serve as your Executive Councilor.
