Cinde Warmington Blasts New Trump Tariffs, Highlights Kelly Ayotte’s Failure to Fight Back

MANCHESTER, NH — Following Donald Trump’s new 50% tariffs on Canadian goods, Democratic candidate for governor Cinde Warmington released the following statement. 

“Trump’s tariffs are crushing working families and creating needless pain for our small businesses that depend on Canadian trade and tourism. But Kelly Ayotte would rather protect her relationship with this president than stand up for Granite Staters. She doesn’t have the courage to take on Trump — whether it’s his tariffs, health care premium hikes, or cruel cuts to housing programs.

“When I’m governor, I’ll push for tariff refunds, join other states challenging the Trump administration’s illegal tariffs in court, and work to repair our state’s relationship with Canada. New Hampshire families just can’t afford any more of this financial chaos.”
