Cinde Warmington for Governor

PRESS RELEASE

In First Debate, Warmington Highlights Solutions to Lower Costs for Granite Staters

MANCHESTER, NH — In the first general election debate, hosted by the Greater Manchester Chamber, Cinde Warmington highlighted solutions to lower costs for working Granite Staters, who are getting crushed by the Trump-Ayotte economy.

While Kelly Ayotte continues to tell Granite Staters that she’s moving New Hampshire in the “right direction,” her failed record of record-high housing prices, soaring electric costs, colossal health care cuts, and failure to challenge Donald Trump all underscore why working families just can’t afford two more years of Costly Kelly.

“Today’s first debate was a clear reminder why Cinde Warmington continues to close the gap in this race despite Ayotte dumping over $2 million into desperate attack ads,” said Jon Levin, Communications Director. “Cinde was the only candidate on the stage who is laser-focused on making life better for working families, has the backbone to stand up to Donald Trump, and will put Granite Staters first. As Cinde is hearing all across the state, people are sick and tired of the status quo — and they are ready for a governor who will deliver change beginning Day One.”

Key highlights from the debate can be found below:

Cinde Warmington is Focused on Lowering Costs for Working Families

  • That was the promise of America, that you could work hard and build a better life for yourself and your family. And fundamentally, that promise is broken. I'm in this race to restore that promise. And I'm in this race for everyone who believes we can restore that promise. I'm in this race for every kid who deserves their shot at the future. I'm in this race for everyone who dreams of owning their own home, for every entrepreneur who dreams of starting their own business, for every senior who believes they should be able to retire with dignity. I'm in this race so that every single Granite Stater can put a roof over their kids' heads and feed them and clothe them and give them a great education and retire with dignity.

Cinde Warmington is Committed to Tackling the Housing Crisis, Reining in Private Equity

  • There's no one solution to housing. It is going to be different in every single community. But what [...] Kelly Ayotte is telling you right now, is that what she is doing is working, and it's not. Rental prices are going through the roof. Why? In part because she refuses to rein in private equity. Private equity is buying up housing in the state and jacking up the cost of rent. It's sending the market rate of rent up. This is how Kelly Ayotte made her millions on the board of Blackstone. [...] And what did she do when she came into office? She gave them no-fault evictions, the one thing they really wanted.

Cinde Warmington Will Stand up to Donald Trump and Put Granite Staters First

  • Trump took a trillion dollars out of the Medicaid program and gave back $50 billion. That's it. You can't make up the difference. We are all feeling it in the healthcare system and it's going to get much, much worse. We're going to see healthcare providers close in our state. The Big Beautiful Bill added on top of that [...] took away the subsidies, costing Granite Staters their health care. Kelly Ayotte said nothing. In fact, she one-upped him. She went ahead and put in premiums on Medicaid recipients, and she doubled the cost of prescription drug co-pays.

Cinde Warmington Supports Reversing Kelly’s Private School Voucher Scheme, Lowering Granite Staters’ Property Taxes

  • Manchester is the economic engine of this state, and we need to make sure that we are providing the foundation [...] that you need to make sure you can provide a workforce, to develop a vibrant economy, that you have the infrastructure, that you have the education system that you need, that you have the housing that you need [...]. So that means stopping the downshifting of cost from Concord and blaming you, and that means making sure that we are invested in reducing property taxes by doing away with this voucher scheme.
