PRESS RELEASE

NEA-NH Recommends Cinde Warmington for Governor

MANCHESTER, NH – Today, NEA-New Hampshire recommended Cinde Warmington for Governor, highlighting Cinde’s longstanding support for public education. NEA-New Hampshire represents more than 15,000 teachers, education support professionals, higher education faculty, retired educators, and aspiring teachers in the state.

“I am honored to have earned NEA-New Hampshire’s support and stand behind the educators who work incredibly hard to give children across the state the opportunities they deserve,” said Cinde Warmington. “As a proud product of public schools, I know how important it is that our teachers are fully supported. While Kelly Ayotte continues to drain public school dollars to fund private school tuition for wealthy families — and drive up Granite Staters’ property taxes — I’ll always put our public schools first.”

“NEA-New Hampshire is proud to recommend Cinde Warmington for governor because we know she will fight for the resources our students and educators need,” said Megan Tuttle, President of NEA-New Hampshire. “Cinde understands that investing in public education is an investment in the future of New Hampshire. We know she will make our students, educators, and communities a priority.”

Cinde believes public dollars belong in public schools. As governor, she will end the private school voucher scheme that is driving up Granite Staters’ property taxes and hurting public schools. In addition to opening up the floodgates for vouchers to be used by the wealthiest families in the state, Kelly Ayotte’s own Attorney General has now asked the Supreme Court to overturn landmark rulings establishing the state’s constitutional obligation to provide every child with an adequate public education.
