On Tax Day, Cinde Warmington Calls Out Kelly Ayotte for Driving Up Property Taxes
CONCORD, NH — This Tax Day, Cinde Warmington is calling out Kelly Ayotte for driving up Granite Staters’ property taxes, and reaffirming her commitment to veto any income or sales tax.
“Granite Staters are sick and tired of rising property taxes. I hear it every day,” said Cinde Warmington. “And they keep going up in large part because Kelly Ayotte is doubling down on her reckless private school voucher scheme. Instead of helping make life more affordable, she’s making it harder for families to make ends meet. When I’m Governor, our state will no longer pick the pockets of working families to fund private schools for the richest.”
Last month, the Warmington for Governor campaign launched a billboard in Manchester that highlights the connection between Kelly Ayotte and spiraling property taxes, squeezing families and small businesses across New Hampshire. A February analysis found that Granite Staters pay the fourth-highest property taxes in the nation.
“The last thing that working families need right now are higher property taxes, especially when the cost of everything else is going up. On this Tax Day, Granite Staters have my word: As your Governor, I will veto any income tax or sales tax that comes to my desk,” added Warmington.
