American Postal Workers Union Local #230 Endorses Cinde Warmington for Governor
MANCHESTER, NH — Today, Local #230, Manchester Area Local, of the American Postal Workers Union (APWU) endorsed Cinde Warmington for Governor. Local #230 represents New Hampshire postal workers across the state, including clerks, maintenance, and motor vehicle employees. The vote to endorse Warmington was adopted by APWU Local #230 members at a recent monthly membership meeting.
“I’m pleased that our members have voted to endorse Cinde Warmington,” said Dana Coletti, President of APWU Local #230, representing nearly 800 postal workers throughout New Hampshire. “She has stood with us in our fight to keep mail sorting in New Hampshire. She took the time to testify at a public hearing to maintain service locally — because she values a public service that Granite Staters depend on and is willing to work for it. Cinde is exactly who we need in the Governor's Office this November, and we are behind her every step of the way."
Cinde has a long history of standing up for Granite State postal workers and protecting their livelihoods, extending back to when she served as the only Democrat on the Executive Council. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Cinde rallied with APWU against attempts to undermine the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). Cinde also urged USPS to reconsider its plans to move its processing facility out of New Hampshire, which would cost Granite Staters' jobs and delay mail delivery.
“Postal workers help keep our country running, and I'm honored to have earned the support of APWU Local #230,” said Cinde Warmington. “I will always be a fierce advocate for our postal workers, fighting hard for the fair pay and benefits they deserve, and making sure they can afford to live here in our state.”
“Kelly Ayotte has handed tax dollars to the wealthy, gutted public schools, and left young people, workers and retirees in New Hampshire behind. We need change and we can’t afford to wait! Working families need to be able to afford a roof over their head. Cinde is smart, hardworking, and she stands with working people. We know we can count on her to make this a priority,” said Janice Kelble, Legislative Director for APWU Local #230.
