Cinde Warmington Statement on Reports That New Hampshire Could Be Considered for ICE Warehouse
CONCORD, NH — In response to reports that Markwayne Mullin, Donald Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Homeland Security, is not ruling out the possibility of locating another ICE human warehouse in New Hampshire, Democratic candidate for Governor Cinde Warmington released the following statement:
“Now we know why Kelly Ayotte won’t just say NO to ICE human warehouses anywhere in our state — because New Hampshire is still on the table, even after hundreds of Granite Staters took to the streets in Merrimack to stop a warehouse there. While other states are deploying all legal avenues to prevent the federal government from putting these facilities in their backyards, Kelly can’t even say out loud that New Hampshire is off limits.
“She cannot be trusted to stand up to Donald Trump and defend the interests of Granite Staters, whether it’s his ICE human warehouse, unaffordable tariffs that drive up grocery prices, or skyrocketing health care premiums. Granite Staters are long-overdue for a Governor who is ready to take on Donald Trump and fight back.”
