ICYMI: 314 Action Fund Endorses Cinde Warmington for Governor

MANCHESTER, NH — In Case You Missed It, The Granite Post recently reported that 314 Action Fund — the only national organization working to recruit, train and elect Democratic scientists across all levels of government — endorsed Cinde Warmington for New Hampshire governor.

Granite Post: Pro-science group backs Warmington for New Hampshire governor

  • The 314 Action Fund, a national political group dedicated to electing scientists and health care professionals, endorsed Democrat Cinde Warmington for governor of New Hampshire this week, throwing its support behind her second bid for the office.

  • Warmington, a health care attorney and the former lone Democrat on the state’s Executive Council, is running to unseat Republican Gov. Kelly Ayotte in 2026.

  • Ayotte enters the race in a weakened position, having posted the worst approval ratings of any first-term New Hampshire governor in more than 30 years.

  • A University of New Hampshire Survey Center poll released this week found President Donald Trump’s approval in the state had cratered to 38%—his worst mark since 2017—which may drag down the Republicans who backed him, Ayotte among them. Warmington has accused the governor of marching in “lockstep” with Trump, faulting her for staying silent as the administration cut food and housing money.

  • The governor has also faced scrutiny over data centers, including a scrapped Nottingham project whose developer had donated to her campaign.

  • The endorsement casts Warmington as a health care champion ready to lower prescription drug prices and ease the cost of living, with 314 Action President Shaughnessy Naughton praising her record on the council as “New Hampshire’s last line of defense against Republican attacks on health care, affordability, and science.”

  • “Kelly Ayotte’s refusal to fight for New Hampshire has made life harder for working families—I’m running to be the fighter our state needs,” Warmington said in the announcement, pledging to deliver “quality health care, lower the cost of living, and make housing more affordable.”

  • 314 Action, which says it is backed by a grassroots community of more than 6 million supporters, works to recruit and elect Democratic scientists and health care professionals at every level of government.
