Holder, who served as the nation's top law-enforcement officer, is backing Warmington as part of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee’s Democracy Defenders program.

WMUR: Former US AG Eric Holder endorses Cinde Warmington in race for governor
Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is throwing his support behind Cinde Warmington in the race for governor of New Hampshire.
Eric Holder, who served as the nation's top law enforcement officer from 2009 to 2015, announced his endorsement Monday as part of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee's Democracy Defenders program.
"In this election, Granite Staters have the opportunity to fend off gerrymandering and elect a governor who will protect the rights of all the people," Holder said. "Cinde Warmington will work to lower costs for New Hampshire families struggling with an affordability crisis created by Donald Trump and Kelly Ayotte, who continue to give handouts to their billionaire donors."
Much of Holder's political activity post-Obama administration has centered around reforming the redistricting process.
Warmington, a Democrat and former two-term Executive Councilor, is challenging incumbent Gov. Kelly Ayotte, a Republican.
