Portsmouth and NHDP Convention Release
WARMINGTON: We can have a governor who stands up, fights back, and puts New Hampshire first.
CONCORD, NH – Today, Cinde Warmington, Democratic candidate for governor, described how her leadership as governor will build a better, more affordable New Hampshire, speaking in Portsmouth at a grassroots fundraiser and campaign office opening with Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and later in the day at the New Hampshire Democratic Party Convention.
Portsmouth:

“Kelly Ayotte didn’t stand up to Trump’s reckless tariffs, his healthcare cuts, his corruption, his rising prices, his reckless war, or his selling out our country to billionaires. And she sure won’t do a thing to help New Hampshire families, who keep falling further and further behind," said Cinde Warmington, candidate for governor.
“Never has it mattered more who your governor is than it does now,” said Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, Chair of the Democratic Governors Association. “Granite Staters need a Democratic governor who isn’t afraid to stand up to Donald Trump and will stay focused on delivering for working families. New Hampshire is ready for new leadership in the corner office — and to send Kelly Ayotte packing this November.”
“Here in Portsmouth and all across the Seacoast, Granite Staters are getting crushed by skyrocketing costs for housing, gas, grocery, and energy bills — all of which continue to climb with Kelly Ayotte as governor,” said Portsmouth Democrats Chair and City Councilor Kate Cook. “With our new office and an army of dedicated grassroots volunteers, we’ll have the infrastructure it takes to elect leaders up and down the ballot — from the corner office to the State House — who will fight to make life more affordable for working families.”
New Hampshire Democratic Party State Convention:
Following the Portsmouth event, Cinde spoke to hundreds of Granite Staters at the New Hampshire Democratic Party Convention about the need to elect a governor who will prioritize the needs of working families and make decisions that help them get ahead.
“Together, we'll build a better, more affordable New Hampshire, where everyone can put a roof over their heads, feed their families, get the health care they need, give their kids a great education, and still be able to put something away for retirement. That’s not too much to ask. And it certainly isn’t too much to fight for,” said Warmington.

Since launching her campaign, Cinde has rapidly built momentum in New Hampshire’s gubernatorial race and is already within a single-digit margin of unseating Kelly Ayotte — who has some of the worst approval numbers of first-term New Hampshire governors and has gotten failing scores from voters on the issues that matter most, including housing and taxes.

Cinde has been endorsed by hundreds of Granite State leaders, including the entirety of the state’s Congressional delegation, along with current and former members of the U.S. Congress, New Hampshire’s State House, State Senate, and Executive Council, and members of organized labor, including APWU Local #230 and Teamsters Local 633.
