Cinde Warmington for Governor

PRESS RELEASE

Statement on Election Results

MANCHESTER, NH — Following the outcome of the New Hampshire governor’s race, Cinde Warmington released the following statement.

“From the very beginning, this campaign was about putting the needs of working families first and fighting for a future where they can actually get ahead. It’s the very same fight I brought to the Executive Council, where I fought for Granite Staters who have been left behind for far too long.

“And while this isn’t the outcome that we were hoping for, I am so proud of the race we ran and the support we earned across the state. I’m proud that we fought for public education, housing, and health care. I’m proud that we fought against the corruption and self-dealing that has made its way to Concord from Washington. I’m proud that we fought for a more affordable New Hampshire.

“I was honored to lead our party at the top of the ticket and heartened that this was such a close race despite that we were outspent by more than 6:1. I am pleased that the fight for our values will continue with strong majorities on the Executive Council, and in the Senate and House.

“I called Kelly Ayotte to congratulate her on her victory. I wish her the best in her second term, and I hope that she will work collaboratively with newly elected Democratic majorities because we have real challenges ahead. It will take all of us — working together — to tackle them.

“I want to thank my husband Bill, my mom, my two kids, my four beautiful grandkids, and my entire family for their love and support every step of the way. I want to recognize my campaign team for their hard work and late nights. Finally, I want to thank every single volunteer who gave this campaign their all and fought hard for a better tomorrow.”
